Hi,

Neil Scott watching from inside of a Antonov 124-100 as it is taxing out onto the run lane. The large aircraft contains the Canadian and UK distribution of Christmas shoe boxes, for the Operation Christmas Child, departing from Stansted Airport, north east of London, UK, bound to Zahedan, Iran.

I'm Neil Scott. I was born in Winnipeg, lived in Montreal a bit as a kid but spent most of my formative years in Calgary, a place I love and always will call home. I have a six year old boy named Kenneth; an outgoing boy who passes his "bright light" to all around.
I have worked as a television cameraman for 15 years and have owned and operated The Edge Cinematography for 10 years; a company that provides television crews to the industry.
I have been involved with Samaritan's Purse for about seven years. First I was hired by a production company to do videos on how to pack a shoebox full of toys for needy children for their "Operation Christmas Child" program. I did this for two successive years with two different production companies that each ended up going out of business.
Samaritan's Purse ended up contacting me directly and I became so involved and impressed with the program that I decided I would volunteer my skills and time to the program each year.
I usually give my time to Samaritan's Purse in December to help them communicate the work they are doing here and in other countries. I have been on three other trips with them; to Mexico twice and to Nicaragua (in central america). Some trips have been very difficult and the living conditions are sometimes very different than what we are accustom to. In Canada we have so much to be thankful for.
Each trip has been an incredible learning experience and I come home with a refreshed soul and spirit.
